Sacred Horse Ranch is a proposed future initiative of Children Such as These. It is currently in the planning and feasibility stage. CSAT is not representing that a property, residential program, clinical service, admission process, or opening date presently exists.
THE VISION
CSAT is exploring whether a carefully governed, trauma-informed setting could one day connect vulnerable young people and their families with qualified professionals, nature, horses, practical life-skills activities, and a community committed to dignity and recovery.
The vision is rooted in a simple belief: young people who have endured exploitation, trafficking, abduction, or abuse deserve to be heard, treated with respect, and supported by people with the training and responsibility to help.
WHY THIS IDEA MATTERS
Founder Jeffrey Pimentel's personal experience as a survivor and his career in law enforcement shaped the desire to explore a place where young people could find safety, connection, purpose, and hope. The concept draws inspiration from the restorative value of nature, responsible interaction with animals, mentorship, and practical learning.
These ideas are not substitutes for licensed care. If the initiative advances, qualified child-welfare, medical, mental-health, legal, and safeguarding professionals must shape every element.
WHAT MUST HAPPEN FIRST
Before any services could be offered, the concept would require:
- An independent feasibility and community-needs assessment
- Qualified child-welfare, clinical, legal, and operational leadership
- Licensing, regulatory, safeguarding, privacy, and mandated-reporting review
- Sustainable financing, insurance, governance, and risk management
- Site, environmental, accessibility, transportation, and emergency planning
- Evidence-informed program design with clear evaluation standards
- Appropriate referral, eligibility, family, tribal, and agency consultation

Sacred Horse Ranch is not currently an operating residential, clinical, therapeutic, or treatment program. CSAT is not accepting referrals or admissions through this page, and no treatment or outcome is guaranteed. The concept, location, activities, population served, and timeline may change as professional review and feasibility work continue.

Any future location would require respectful consultation with the Native Nations connected to that land. CSAT would approach this work with humility and would not claim tribal endorsement, partnership, or participation without direct confirmation.
