Children Such as These exists to help adults recognize danger, respond responsibly, and protect children’s dignity. This page explains the standards that govern our public information, photographs, missing-child notices, partnerships, programs, and use of support.

THE CSAT CHILD-FIRST STANDARD

We first see the child—a person with a name, a family, a history, a body that must never be owned, and a future that must not be erased.

Every CSAT story, image, statistic, program, and invitation must protect that child’s dignity. We do not use graphic imagery, manufacture urgency, blame victims, or reduce a child to a case, statistic, or fundraising device.

PRIVACY, PHOTOGRAPHS, AND STORIES

  • We use a child’s name, photograph, or story only when there is lawful authority and an appropriate public-safety or educational purpose.
  • Missing-child notices must come from an official agency or other verified source and retain the reporting agency’s instructions.
  • We do not publish private addresses, personal phone numbers, confidential records, or unnecessary identifying details.
  • Survivor stories must be shared with informed permission and may be anonymized to protect safety and dignity.
  • When an official notice is withdrawn or a case is resolved, CSAT updates or removes the public feature as promptly as practicable.

ACCURACY AND SOURCE STANDARDS

CSAT distinguishes reports, allegations, charges, supported cases, confirmed findings, and estimates. Statistics are dated and linked to their source. We correct material errors transparently and do not present estimates as confirmed U.S. case totals.

REPORTING AND EMERGENCIES

CSAT is an education and awareness organization. We do not operate an emergency dispatch center, conduct investigations, accept sightings, or provide legal, medical, or clinical services.

  • If a child may be in immediate danger, call 911 or local emergency services.
  • Report missing-child information directly to the agency identified in the official notice.
  • Report suspected online child exploitation through NCMEC’s CyberTipline.
  • Do not confront a suspected offender or conduct your own investigation.

PRESENT WORK AND FUTURE PLANS

Current CSAT work includes verified child-safety information, The Daily Watch, Where Are They?, Native Children Watch, prevention and reporting guidance, community engagement, and preparation for The Watch Never Ends.

Sacred Horse Ranch remains a proposed future initiative in planning and feasibility. It is not currently an operating residential, clinical, counseling, or treatment program. Future services would require qualified professionals, licensing, safeguarding procedures, funding, and independent review.

PARTNERSHIPS AND PUBLIC CLAIMS

CSAT describes an organization, agency, Tribe, official, or professional as a partner or participant only after the relationship is confirmed. A conversation, invitation, appearance, link, or shared interest does not by itself imply endorsement.

ORGANIZATIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Children Such as These is a Wyoming nonprofit corporation in good standing and an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity. EIN: 33-2260719. Federal tax-exempt status is effective December 5, 2024. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

CSAT keeps private records—including signatures, personal addresses, and internal documents—off the public website. Public accountability information will be expanded as annual reports and verified financial summaries become available.

OUR PROGRESS

What CSAT can verify today:

  • The Daily Watch and dedicated child-safety resource pages are published.
  • Verified missing-child notices are featured with official reporting instructions.
  • Native Children Watch highlights federal information and Native-led resources.
  • The Watch Never Ends is scheduled for April 1–30, 2027; route details and community participation remain subject to confirmation and safety review.
  • Completed 2025 community fundraisers are preserved as past-event records.
  • Sacred Horse Ranch remains a future concept, not an operating service.

CSAT will not inflate audience numbers, partnerships, outcomes, or program status. Future progress reporting will use dated, supportable measures.
